First check the condition of the boat trailer and only then hoist the boat to the trailer and secure it carefully. Ensure that you have everything needed for launching the boat, such as the drain plug and boat keys. No matter how keen you may be to get the boat out to the water, remember to drive carefully when pulling the boat trailer. The load you are pulling is a heavy one. This is why you should drive with caution and remember to keep a secure distance from those driving in front of you. Do not hesitate to ask a person or a number of persons to assist you, and utilise any applicable lifting equipment available.

If reversing the trailer to the water to launch the boat, first detach any electrical connections between the car and the trailer and undo the boat fastener straps. Tie a rope at the bow of the boat, long enough to reach the shore with plenty to spare. Reverse the car slowly down the ramp, but not all the way to the water. Shut down the engine, apply the hand brake, engage a gear, and to be on the safe side, place wedges behind the car wheels. Release the trailer winch and push the boat in the water. Another person can control the boat with the bow rope from ashore. Get on board the boat, and when you reach sufficient depth, tilt the outboard motor down.

Remember to check that there is no water on the boat floor. And then, let the boating season begin!

NOTE! Do not forget to plug in the rear drain plug before launching the boat!
